ENTRY FEE:

$50 Adult, $10 Junior (15 years or younger)

PRIZE CATEGORIES:*

$1500 - Adult Heaviest Snapper (overall competition)

Prize packs 2nd, 3rd, 4th heaviest overall competition

$1500 - Adult Heaviest Kahawai (overall competition)

2nd, 3rd, 4th heaviest overall competition

Prize packs 1st, 2nd, 3rd  - Junior Heaviest Kahawai & Snapper (overall competition)

$250 - Heaviest Snapper of the day (Saturday and Sunday)

$250 - Heaviest Kahawai of the day (Saturday and Sunday)

Earlybird prize draw - entries must be received and paid in full before 7pm, 16 March 2025 to qualify for draw

HOURS OF FISHING:

Saturday 12 April 2025, 7am - 2pm

Sunday 13 April 2025, 8am - 2pm

Prizegiving Sunday 13 April approx. 3pm at Otaki Surf Lifesaving Club/adjacent carpark area (opp 44 Marine Parade)

The organisers reserve the right to change fishing times prior to event day.

POSTPONEMENT/ABANDONMENT:

In the event of severe weather or other natural event making conditions unsafe to fish, the competition will either be shortened in duration or postponed. Entry fees will not be refunded. 

* Cash prizes for 1st place snapper and 1st place kahawai are guaranteed as minimum amounts and will be paid as cash by bank transfer (no product substitution). Organisers of Kapiti Big Fish reserves the right to alter all other prizes at any time where the new prize value is equivalent to or greater than the normal retail value of the prize being replaced.
